THIS IS HOW HARD IN SELECTING YOUR CAREER
It has been a norm in
our African way a child has a dream career he/she will pursue when they grow up.
The fun comes about as they mention big careers on earth one could think off.
When I grow up I want to be a neuron surgeon, an aeronautical engineer and so forth.
What happens after that when they have now grown up. It’s like a metamorphic cycle in that when you
were in primary and form one you were talking of such big careers, then you reach form 3 you realize history and CRE can’t
help you to be an engineer. You switch to being a lawyer by the time you are in
form four the slogan is kazi ni kazi brathe.
When choosing your career, make sure you got a role model. At
one time I wanted to be a pilot, then my mother asked me who is my role model.

available can affect your career choice. A good role model takes your career to
the next level and provides positive advice.
Another factor that determines your career is your hobby, intrests
and talents. A research shows majority
of working class are not talented in their
fields but trained.Most of what university students do its not what they dreamt
of. Most of them is due to “baba alinituma”,kuccps ilinitupa uku,or let me select it because it has money. What
can you do in such a situation. See your career as a stepping stone to the outside career world so long as you
develop a positive attitude towards it.
I once met an entrepreneurship student then he was like

then I advised him that the boy had no
clue of what the course entailed, he can be a manager in a bank, or even a
central bank governor. So negative influence can also affect our career choice.
My advice to you is that you should be an open minded person,
mind you’re your destiny. Ignore negative influence and always stay focused,
never lose hope in life, alphabet has 26
letters if letter A fails try the other 25. simulataneously
